Spartan Solutions shortlisted for the European Rental Awards 2020

Spartan Solutions Ltd., (Spartan) PHALANX Digital Operations platform has been shortlisted for the European Rental Association (ERA) Award 2020 – Best Digital Innovation of the Year

The Spartan nomination recognises the partnership achieved with Ramirent Norway’s team to deliver the first phase of RamiFlow, a project to digitise their equipment rental logistics and service processes. RamiFlow is built on Spartan’s PHALANX Digital Operations platform; an enterprise mobility solution developed for large Equipment Rental companies.

RamiFlow was rolled out across Norway in 2019 and delivered the following results:

  • A 50% reduction in equipment turnaround time.
  • A 45% increase in billable services.
  • A 40% decrease in credit notes caused by incorrect return dates.
  • A 32% reduction in service recording time.

Jim Green, Spartan CEO, said “This award recognises the talent and dedication not just of the Spartan team, but also the Ramirent project delivery team who configured our core PHALANX product to Ramirent’s logistics processes and successfully rolled it out across more than 60 Locations in 9 months. The European Equipment Rental market is a core focus of Spartan, and our product team work hard to make PHALANX valuable to rental operations users, so it is a great honour to be shortlisted for the ERA Best Digital Innovation award.”

The awards show will be a virtual event for the first time. It will be preceded by industry leaders and specialists presenting insights into the current and future impact of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Thomas Allen, International Rental News Editor, said “The judges shortlisted Spartan because the results for RamiFlow business were impressive.  There is a clear trend for paperwork and physical handling to be replaced with digital solutions, and Spartan’s PHALANX is a good example. This kind of technology will help rental companies work more safely and increase operational resilience in these challenging times.”

Three other companies and products are shortlisted for the award: CheckMobile for their Artificial Intelligence based damage detection software, Intrador for their equipment valuation app and Riwal for their Augmented Reality training app.

The award winners will be announced during the online European Rental Awards & Market Update on commencing at 3 PM on Tuesday, 30 June. Full details of the event can be found at https://www.khl-group.com/events/rentalawards/.
