The Internet of Things goes Offshore: Wireless connectivity and IoT for the Oil & Gas Sector

Censis IoTOGIC (Oil & Gas Innovation Centre) and CENSIS (Innovation Centre for Sensor and Imaging Systems) have teamed up to create a dedicated event for Oil & Gas and offshore sector companies based in and around Aberdeen. They will introduce new and emerging sensor and imaging systems technologies that could benefit the offshore industry.

A specific area of focus will be the enablement of the Industrial Internet of Things. The IoT revolution and new communication protocols offer increased connectivity and huge opportunity for offshore platforms.

Featuring a number of presenters, Spartan Solutions has been invited to speak at the event. John Glen, COO of Spartan Solutions, will present ‘Mobilising the silent army: An Operations and Maintenance case study’ – how the combination of mobile apps, sensors and machine learning will mobilise this army and transform their productivity.

The event will take place in Aberdeen, 4 October 2017, from 07:30 to 13:00. You can find out more about ‘The Internet of Things goes Offshore’ event by consulting the full agenda and register your attendance here.
